Council Rock Wins Impact Award

The innovation behind the TELiG E1500 is recognized for making an “IMPACT” on the Utility Industry

The TELiG E1500: An innovative and proven solution

The Utilities Technology Council named Council Rock the winner of the IMPACT Award at the UTC Telecom & Technology Conference in Portland, OR. The award honors the UTC Associate Member Organization making a significant impact on the utility industry through an innovative and proven solution.

“We are excited to be building the next generation private networks with multi-edge computing,” says Scott Burk, Sales Director: Commercial & Industrial at Council Rock “while making these advances, we continue to respect legacy as we push forward into new technology.”

The R&D efforts of the TELiG E1500 began when several of our key utility customers expressed the need for a future-proof edge computing platform capable of supporting multiple utility applications, being interoperable with multiple vendors, and based on technology backed by significant investment. Our award-winning device consists of an industry-first modular design, with up to 3 expansion slots supporting multiple combinations of private LTE with AT&T, FirstNet, Verizon, Anterix, NB-IoT, and CBRS allowing implementation of new communications technologies and the evolution of the network without the need to continuously change hardware.

“We’ve eliminated the need for adding multiple devices to support DA, AMI Backhaul, DERMS, and Mobile workforce into one device,” says David Rodriguez, CEO at Council Rock “The flexible design saves expenses in procurement, management, installation, and recurring OPEX.”
