The Utilities Technology Council named Council Rock the winner of the IMPACT Award at the UTC Telecom & Technology Conference in Portland, OR. The award honors the UTC Associate Member Organization making a significant impact on the utility industry through an innovative and proven solution.

Our award-winning device consists of an industry-first modular design, with up to 3 expansion slots supporting multiple combinations of private LTE with AT&T, FirstNet, Verizon, Anterix, NB-IoT, and CBRS allowing implementation of new communications technologies and the evolution of the network without the need to continuously change hardware.

Area Investor Seizes Opportunity to Lead Round

Council Rock, a leading provider of LTE-based Industrial Routers, announced today a $7M Series A funding round led by Grand Oaks Capital, the investment firm founded by renowned businessman and philanthropist Tom Golisano. Motorola Solutions and other private investors also participated in the investment round. The raise underscores Council Rock’s industry-leading computing platforms, as well as strong technology partnerships. New funds will accelerate the company’s product development road map with several new models planned for 2021. Additionally, a new IoT data analytics platform, as well as our next-generation Smart Home Energy solution will be introduced in 2021.
